Biography

Kortni Sorbello is an AANP board certified nurse practitioner currently practicing at Bayside Internal Medicine in Aberdeen, Maryland. Prior to joining Bayside in 2013, Kortni received her Bachelor’s of Nursing Science from Salisbury University in 2008 and her Master’s in Nursing Science in 2013 from Wilmington University. Prior to earning her Master’s degree, Kortni worked as a cardiac nurse in the ICU. As an ICU nurse, Kortni sharpened her nursing knowledge through caring for the acute patient. She has brought this valuable experience to internal medicine caring for chronically ill patients. Today as a nurse practitioner, Kortni delivers patient-centered, quality care with an emphasis on patient education. Kortni’s philosophy is rooted in care based on current guidelines while building a partnership with each patient for accountability and better outcomes.

In 2008 and 2010 Kortni traveled to Tanzania, Africa with Global Service Corps (GSC) where she helped lead community service projects regarding HIV/AIDS education to help empower members of the community to improve their knowledge and overall health.
